Inside out is the debut offering from Ricky Laurent, known mostly for his work with the 70’s rock revival band “Retrophonic”. This young singer songwriter sings and plays with a feel and soul reminiscent of players like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Page and Ritchie Blackmore. With a vocal feel in the range of Gillan and Plant. The record although mostly a blues rock feel has a few departures touching on influences that range from Bowie’esque a la Kravitz “My life on earth” to “Hell and back”. A very mature recording for such a young Artist, a great listen from beginning to end. After seeing 2 live performances and listening to this record several times I can whole heartedly recommend buying this record and catching him live.
