Our first year has been an incredible adventure. We’ve learned a great deal, and been fortunate enough to cover some incredible musicians, bands, festivals and events. We’ve met some diverse, interesting and wildly entertaining people along the way and look forward to bringing you, the reader, more of what you want…..LOUDGUITARS!!!
Our approach has always been with the end goal of helping music and the people who love it, play it, promote it, and those provide the tools to play, record and/or enjoy it more fully.
I’ve been fortunate enough to work with many promoters, publicists, management, labels, tour managers, and artists over the last year. Through this contact, I’ve learned a lot about the industry and the people who work so hard to keep the gears turning.
Technology has turned the music industry on its ear and has simultaneously helped and harmed the artists. Some will swear that technology has almost killed the business, while others will insist that the playing field was leveled off when, thanks to technology, more artists could afford to access recording software. This will always be a debate that divides, but the truth remains….technology good & bad…is here and will continue to be a major catalyst in the industry.
In this instance, we’d like to provide a venue where technology can truly serve some touring acts….
Have you been to a show that was so smoking that your socks were rolling up & down? Did you recently see a band that you’d never heard of, blow the roof off a little club somewhere? Have you “discovered” the next “Big” thing? Did you catch a show that blew your mind and that you want everyone to experience?
Tell us about it.
We’re looking to expand the review section of our webzine to include show reviews from YOU!
We’ll read, edit where necessary and post them with your full name, the city where you saw the show, and the club/venue where you saw the show.
This is your chance to tell fellow music enthusiasts which bands they truly must see live.
Send in your write-ups, and a couple of photos from the show (if you have any good ones) and we’ll get to work posting them!
